The consolidated budget of the Department incorporating the
budget estimate (BE), revised estimate (RE) and Actuals of different heads of
account is shown in Annex XII-XVI. The
BE of 2000-01 for the Consumer Affairs and Fair Business Practices Directorate
under Head of Account “3456-00-001-Direction & Administration-NP-004” was NIL
as the Directorate was created only in the financial year 2001-02. In the BE
for 2000-01 under Head of Account “3456-00-001-Direction &
Administration-NP-004” no information could be given for "Actuals"
for the same reason. Similarly, in respect of different plan schemes under the
same head for 2001-02 expenditure could not be shown against Actuals as the
Directorate was created only in October 2001 and there was no scope to utilise
the amount by the new Directorate within such short time.
