Calibration and Verification of all weights, volume measures, linear measures and weighing instruments and measuring instruments used in any commercial transaction, industrial production or protection.
|
Granting license to manufacturers, repairers and dealers of all weights, volume measures, linear measures and weighing instruments for ensuring quality of measurement.
|
Granting approval of models of weighing instruments and measuring instruments manufactured in the State.
|
Checking of statutory declaration on packaged commodities.
|
Checking of net quantity of the packaged commodities.
|
Registration of manufacturers and packers of packaged commodities to ensure observation of provisions of SoWM (PC) Rules, 1977.
|
Holding enforcement drives to check the violations of the laws.
|
Collection of Non-Tax Revenue for the State through above activities.
